Welcome to Our Lady Help of Christians, Wendouree
Every Face Has a Place
Principal's Message
Jesus said, ‘I have come that you may have life and live it to the full.’ (John 10:10)
Hello, and welcome to the Our Lady Help of Christians, Wendouree website. We are glad you have taken some time to get to know us better.
We are a warm, welcoming and inclusive school situated on Ballarat's northwest fringe, close to the Western Freeway, and set on our parish grounds.
At Our Lady Help of Christians our mantra “Every Face has a Place at OLHC” is lived in our words and actions with each of our students every day. Our students are seen, heard, valued, and celebrated.
We offer a well-rounded and personalised program to ensure excellent outcomes for students and employ outstanding staff who respond proactively to our students’ needs. Our students are at the centre of all we do, and the decisions we make at Our Lady Help of Christians, Wendouree.
As a ‘School Wide Positive Behaviour School’ our school mantra ‘Respectful, Responsible and Resilient’ permeates through each interaction, every day. These three values are inspired by the Gospel and shared by our entire community. They form the basis of our Social and Emotional, and Wellbeing Learning Programs, and are the foundations on which we support the development of the whole child.
Our dedicated staff, through their own Christian example and professionalism, provide a caring and supportive atmosphere which respects the dignity of each child, fosters a genuine love of God, and motivates all children to be contributing members of our school and wider communities.
Our Lady Help of Christians, Wendouree supports Child Safety with policies and procedures in place to promote well-being and to ensure that all children are protected from harm.
Our Lady Help of Christians is a place of connection, community and learning. We are definitely one of Ballarat's best kept secrets!
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and learn more about us, and what we can offer your family.
We welcome the opportunity to share our school with prospective families and encourage contact with our school office for more information or to arrange a tour.
Warmly
Jaci Commons - Principal
