Family Information

When parents and carers are involved in their child's education, they are sending a message that education is important, and that learning is valued.’ -  Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL)

97.jpgParents and caregivers are the first and foremost educators of their children and it is with this in mind that we promote a united approach to the education of each child.

We are blessed to have an active and enthusiastic School Community Team and a School Advisory Council, who work alongside our staff team, to support the children of our school.

The OLHC community is a warm, inclusive and inviting one. There are many ways in which family members can engage with school and support children to thrive.

Some are more formal such as being part of our School Advisory Council or School Community Team, and meeting us for semesterly learning conferences, others are less formal such as popping in for an assembly, joining us for a learning celebration or participating in a school social event.

PARENT ACCESS MODULE

Our Parent Access Module (PAM) provides families with a digital portal through which they can complete many tasks such as digitally sighting and signing permission slips, notifying us of absences, and viewing school reports. Each family is provided with their own unique logon information upon enrolment.

AFTER SCHOOL HOURS CARE

OLHC provides an OSHC program onsite through the YMCA Ballarat. Students are walked across to our multipurpose space at the end of the school day to join the program. Caare is also offered during school holidays.
